A leading science based association are recruiting for an Education Innovations Manger (maternity cover) to join their Education Team.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will lead on the development and improvement of new and existing products and projects (including educational resources and grant schemes) which widen the reach of their CREST programme, and inspire and enable young people from diverse backgrounds to participate in STEM project work.

As someone who has experience of developing educational materials for teachers or young people, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the schools' context and an understanding of the STEM enrichment sector and/or STEM Education sector, you will manage and develop the education resource content of new and established campaigns (such as British Science Week) to engage new audiences whilst overseeing the creation of a streamlined education resource creation process and strategy, to ensure that resources are created that support the wider education strategy, in a cost-effective way. You will also manage schemes which offer grants to schools in challenging circumstances.

You will have an excellent track record in project management, including managing multiple projects simultaneously and experience of managing delivery partners and suppliers to ensure projects meet funders' timescales and budgets.

This is great opportunity to use your written and spoken communication skills to establish a widening participation network of teachers from schools in challenging circumstances; design and deliver an evidence-based widening participation strategy to enable more young people to access their education offer nationally; and expand the network of key partners, particularly those outside the STEM sector that will allow the organisation to reach underrepresented audiences and drive their reach.

You will also have a willingness to devise and apply creative, innovative approaches in order to develop proposals for new products/projects and work alongside the External Relations team to secure external funding for these.

If you are someone who has a passion for education and science and wants to effectively engage young people from all backgrounds in this area, then get in touch today to apply!
In return there is a wide range of and the opportunity to develop your own skills and career.

For more information on how to apply please contact the Education Team quoting reference number J73681KP.

Please note that as part of the application process you will be asked to complete a diversity questionnaire, we also use the Disability Confident Scheme and you will be able to indicate whether you want to apply under this scheme during this stage of the process.

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 3rd June at 5pm.
