A forward-thinking youth charity who are focused on developing leadership potential in young boys are looking for an Education Coordinator to develop, implement and manage the charity's Leadership and Enrichment Programmes.

You will need to be available to start immediately (November or December start) and will be appointed on a 4-6 month contract initially.
The working hours are 25 hours per week which can be spent flexibly throughout the week with Saturdays and after school hours to be included. The office is based in South London and knowledge of the local area and the barriers young boys face there, will be important in this role.

This vital charity exists to develop leadership potential in young boys who live in some of the most deprived areas of London and are at risk of social exclusion.

Under the direction of the Chief Executive, your role as Education Coordinator will be to provide an education programme for the young boys who the charity supports. Some of your responsibilities will include; writing Individual Education Plans, planning learning activities with tutors according to different learning needs, teaching outdoor education to boys aged 8-16, supporting the recruitment of tutors and volunteers, and to keep records and provide evaluations on the impact of the programme.

This varied role would suit a teacher or educator who is looking to be involved in the teaching of enrichment and leadership programmes which complement the mainstream curriculum.

The charity is keen to hear from candidates who have at least 2 years' teaching experience, preferably in a primary school setting or similar and candidates with excellent up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessments.

Closing date: Monday 26th November 4pm
