A leading professional body who support the ongoing training for specialist medical professionals in the UK and overseas are recruiting for an Education and Training Coordinator on a full time, permanent basis to be involved in the delivery of medical education.
This professional body sets the curriculum and assessments for qualified doctors, provide CPD and training, maintain professional standards and promote research and science in their specialty.
The Education and Training department support the organisation as a whole, to maintain standards in education and training of specialist medical professionals to ensure the quality of care received by patients it at the highest standard.
Working in collaboration with the Head of department, as the Education and Training Coordinator you will take a lead role in managing the development and effectiveness of the e-portfolio which is an online platform to track the professional development activities undertaken by members.
As the Education and Training Coordinator, some of your day to day responsibilities will include; being the first point of call for any inquiries regarding the e-Portfolio or CPD activities, liaising with the e-Portfolio provider to ensure user effectiveness, responsibility for the Data Management System for the department, Quality Assurance of trainee records and supporting committees and other groups within the organisation.
While there is no people management required in this role, you will manage your own workload effectively, often managing more that one project or work stream simultaneously.
To be considered for this role, you should be a person who enjoys working in a process driven, regulated environment but is also focused on delivering a high level of service. You will have experience of working within a higher education environment and will have knowledge of databases such as CRM. You will be someone who is highly organised but also an excellent communicator to people at all levels.
