We are looking for an exceptional person to join the Division of Academic Services within a prestigious higher education research institution in the role of Business Assistant, providing support in the strategic and operational management of the Division. This is a temporary position for four-five months whilst they look to recruit for the permanent role, paying £18.15- £21.27+holiday pay.

Acting as the primary contact between the Director's office and external and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for personal assistant tasks for the Director, including diary management, extensive email correspondence and organising both internal and external meetings. This includes maintaining effective filing systems, assisting with budget management and management of team and project meetings including where appropriate attending, taking minutes and following up action points. You will also maintain an overview of the Directorate's priorities and current projects, pro-actively coordinating updates to the Learning and Teaching and Research Operational Plans and project reporting and logging of all committee and audit actions.

Experience required:

  • Track record of senior EA/PA support
  • Track record of working with senior stakeholders
  • Experience of working within a university or a research/health organisation
  • Experience of organising and prioritising own workload
  • Experience of committee servicing/minute taking
