This is an excellent opportunity to join an established London-based Hospice as Director of Fundraising and Marketing. This is a permanent opportunity, reporting to the CEO, with responsibility for leading the team through a period of substantial change.
In this role you will lead and inspire the Fundraising and Marketing team, taking overall responsibility for developing and implementing the organisation's income generation strategy. Your aim will be to accelerate the growth of fundraising across a diverse range of income streams, and to oversee the development of partnerships and supporter relations that enhance the experience for beneficiaries, generates income and improves understanding of the charity's work. Whilst this is an excellent opportunity to work strategically across fundraising and marketing, you will need to lead by example and be prepared be more hands-on where necessary.
In order to be considered for the post, it is essential that you have a proven track record of developing and implementing a fundraising strategy, along with the experience of having developed of a KPI framework to underpin this. You will be a proven leader, comfortable working through change, and have a breadth of knowledge across the various fundraising disciplines (although there is likely to be a particular emphasis on Corporate Fundraising, so a proven track record here will be especially beneficial). Outstanding communication skills are essential, as is possessing a passion for the work of the organisation - in this respect, previous experience of work in the Hospice sector is not essential.
