A leading financial awarding body based in the heart of London are recruiting for a Digital Development Manager to work as part of the wider Learning Solution team.

You will use your understanding of learning design, learning technologies and knowledge of educational principles to develop innovative, customer focused, learning solutions which will support their regulated assessments. These products are purchased by circa 70,000 learners a year so you will , collaborate with key stakeholders and technical teams, to maximise the use of existing technologies and tools and advise on developments in learning technologies and how these can be used to enhance existing student-focused learning products and services.

As an experienced Manager you will lead a team of three and be self sufficient in dealing with day to day issues as well as develop and support the team plus deputise for the Learning Director as needed. This role will require you to strategically look at what the market wants and needs in terms of products and technology, whilst also being hands on operationally.

You will have up to date knowledge and in-depth understanding of current learning theories, practices and technologies available to deliver and manage innovative, customer focused, digital learning, including experience of working in a learning development capacity, having previously designed and developed digital content across a range of media and a Moodle-based virtual learning environment, including specifying business requirements, implementing systems upgrades and performing system testing.

You will have experience of managing vendor/supplier relationships and contracts and using project management as a framework for delivering change.

You will be responsible for the development and effective use of multimedia learning assets deployed in learning solutions, and development and deployment of existing student Moodle-based VLE and related technology, including an App. This means you will need to understand what common e-learning standards are and their relevance and be confident in your knowledge of mobile learning principles and HTML5/responsive web design, plus be confident and comfortable using: XML editing software; rapid e-authoring tools; animation and graphic optimization software; video and audio creation and editing tools and ideally knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 is desirable as is an awareness of technologies available to maximize content reuse.
