This respected university based on the outskirts of London is recruiting for a Development Manager, to work within its growing and ambitious team. Since 2007, the organisation’s development office has been delivering a highly successful annual giving programme, and this is the second role to be created within a year as part of the university’s strategy to increase income from philanthropic sources.
The Development Manager – 9-12 month contract will be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors by soliciting gifts personally or co-ordinating solicitation opportunities for others where appropriate.
- You will be a target driven, ambitious professional with previous experience of working in a development or fundraising environment
- You will have the ability to deal with a varied portfolio whilst also building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders including academics, alumni and donors
- You will have excellent relationship building skills and will be able to communicate confidently and persuasively with high profile individuals
