A highly ranked institution in Leeds is looking for a Deputy Head of Library Services to start as soon as possible on an initial six -month fixed term contract with the potential to be extended. The role is paying £32,548- £36,613 per annum pro rata.
The purpose of your role would be to assist and advise the University Curator in the efficient and effective organisation and running of the libraries on both campuses in the absence of the University Librarian. This includes dealing with staffing issues, ordering stock, inducting, advising and assisting student and staff users with the library resources and facilities as appropriate. You will be able provide and develop library and information services to meet the needs of students and staff across both campuses.
To be successful in the role, you will need to have a recognized library qualification, be a member of a relevant professional body, ie CILIP and have worked in an academic library previously.
