DATABASE OFFICER - ROLE PROFILE

DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING

REPORTING TO: SUPPORTER SERVICES & DATABASE MANAGER

TEMPORARY FIXED TERM: 6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH POSSIBILITY OF A PERMANENT ROLE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

SALARY CIRCA £33k

Purpose: To lead on Database Management and provide necessary insight and reporting to drive more effective fundraising, marketing & internal activities. This will be delivered through developing and delivering a robust programme of research and insight analysis, as well as ensuring the database is used and managed appropriately and accurately by those throughout the organisation.

Essential Requirements:

  • High level of understanding, use and experience of the thankQ database
  • Experience in creating reports with differentiating levels of complexity & criteria to include segmented data
  • Experience in the import/export of data in thankQ
  • Experience in mass updates within thankQ
  • Experience in data quality control - carrying out data checking to ensure the quality of our data

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in working with Engaging Networks (or another communication platform)

Role Profile:

  • Proactively lead on the insight analysis for the organisation`s National Office to contribute to income generation and engagement of supporters to include data sets for appeals, raffles & campaigns
  • Carry out data analysis & develop existing reports & analysis functions
  • Ensure the maintenance of database systems and in house programs
  • Provide training on administration tasks and database processing to peers
  • Ensure data integrity, carry out data cleaning with assistance from other staff and where possible provide quality control reporting
  • Develop & improve database processes alongside other teams where necessary
  • Resolve database issues with National Office colleagues
  • Lead and project manage key programmes of work, such as our audience segmentation work
  • Work with the Supporter Services & Database Manager to find solutions to support database management & insight needs of the Development & Marketing Team (D&M) and other teams at the National Charity
  • Review & develop processes, making recommendations to line manager, to improve performance and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Development of a Scorecard Approach document (or similar) for delivery of insight for the D&M team with particular attention to KPI reporting
  • Prioritise own workload
