Database Manager - Temporary
Our client an arts based charity are seeking interim support as they are about to undergo a database upgrade from Raiser's Edge to Tessitura. They need someone to be able to start immediately on a part-time basis until the end of July.
Expert database manager to advise and support mapping, data transfer, testing and fixing as well as to advise on setting up robust protocols and procedures from the outset. This individual needs to be an expert who has experience of fundraising and relational databases and ideally high advanced working knowledge of Tessitura. This bridging role will work closely with Fundraising, internal project manager Steve and Tessitura to give the detailed view of the departments? needs during the data transfer and beyond.
Main duties for the Database Manager:
Ensuring the database is an effective relationship management and fundraising tool through working with all teams in Development and across the Gallery.
Setting up systems and processes to ensure consistency and accuracy of the data
Support with the creation of protocols and processes to ensure high quality data is consistent
Identify, develop and recommend fundraising team to enhance use of data
Deliver timely and accurate selections
Develop process to enable data to be segmented and analysed
Essential criteria for the Database Manager:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience in data analysis and campaign management
- Experience of applying statistical, analytical, modelling and segmentation techniques
- Previous experience of managing external agencies
- Ability and understand to interrupt complex data structures
- Excellent communication skills
Experience of being part of a database management team within a direct marketing, with knowledge of how to maintain and use a Fundraising Database. Experience of using Tessitura would be a plus, and experience of a fundraising/ relationship database management system necessary.
Be confident in using, segmenting and extracting data from a database to assist with targeted marketing campaigns.
Have previous experience of conducting analysis and reporting on campaign data.
Have experience using Microsoft Office Excel and Access.
