Charity Database Executive - 6-month contract - £26,852pa (pro-rata)

We are currently representing a large health charity who are seeking an experienced database executive to join them at a busy time for the team, they are ideally looking for applicants with some prior experience in the NFP sector working in a data or fundraising team with exposure with CRM's.

You'll be able to organise a complex workload with simultaneous and often competing priorities and retain clarity and focus in a very busy environment. Delivering data administration tasks, ensuring the accurate and timely import of supporter data from various sources, maintaining data quality standards and delivering work requests received from across the charity are an important part of this role, so having substantial experience of working with a Fundraising database at either key user or system administrator level is essential for this role.

Essential Criteria


Substantial experience of working with a Fundraising database at either key user or system administrator level.
Experience of using Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
Experience of developing and documenting user and database procedures.
Proven ability to monitor own work for quality, particularly the accuracy of data selections.
Proven ability to set standards for accuracy of work and efficiency of processes.
The ability to communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and clients, particularly when representing the database function, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Criteria


Use SQL and Faststats reporting tools to create bespoke reports using data taken from the CARE database.
Experience of producing segmented data extracts from a customer database for marketing /fundraising activities.
Demonstrable experience of using SQL queries to build reports.
Experience of managing data operations (imports and exports) on a large customer database.
Experience of working in, or as a supplier to, a direct marketing or fundraising team.
Experience of successfully applying direct marketing principles and techniques to marketing activity.
Demonstrable skill in managing database activity as client projects.
Proven ability to utilise project management skills and tools to plan and coordinate activities involving multiple departments.
A good working knowledge of SQL.
Understanding and Experience of Faststats or equivalent Data Analysis and Reporting tools
