About the role:
A global association for service providers and suppliers in the telecommunications industry is looking for a Data Engineer to develop strategies and implement architecture to ensure that the organisation meets its vision of becoming a data driven organisation. This can be a fully remote role with flexible working hours, you will also have the option of working in the London office if you choose to.

As the Data Engineer, you will be responsible for helping to drive the improvement of the organisation's current BI and Data Analytics capability by developing, supporting, and optimising the data warehouse to incorporate the business needs in an agile way. You will also design, support, and develop other infrastructure and architecture in line with business requirements and to provide service assurance and continuous improvement of insights. You will also provide advanced data modelling and troubleshoot data integration issues, working on resolving and clarifying them.

You will be part of the IT team, reporting to the Data Analytics & BI Manager, but will also provide cross-functional support for the delivery of data insights to the whole business.

You will need to have the following skills and experience:


* Extensive hands-on experience of full stack BI development
* A proven record of accomplishment of developing data warehouses from source data and use of ETL, preferably with Talend and SQL database technologies 2
* Excellent knowledge of data modelling techniques and implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions within a data warehouse
* Experience of implementing data quality metrics and data governance practices
* Knowledge and experience of using REST APIs and working with JSON data
* Expert SQL knowledge
* Strong, demonstrable project management and delivery skills. Preferably with Agile methodologies
* Experience implementing and enforcing data segmentation and data management policies
* Ability to work with colleagues and project teams across multiple geographic locations and cultures
