We are working with an events organisation that specialises in visual engineering and creative design for live productions to recruit for a Course Leader. You will be responsible for leading and managing the MARS Academy courses.

This is a fixed term contract of up to 12 months working part time of 2- 3 days a week, with salary of £32,000 pro rota.

As the Course Leader you will ensure the high quality of our training led by world class experts, monitoring performance and feedback to ensure the successful delivery of MARS Academy. You will be responsible for the overall management of the academic programme, directly managing the teaching team to ensure key learning objectives are being achieved.

You will ensure that lessons and activities are integrated, following the organisations course curriculums and schedule guidelines and always safeguard the welfare of students and tutors.

Other responsibilities include

  • Ensure company's experts are supported to become excellent tutors, overseeing all course delivery to ensure quality teaching
  • Ensuring the achievement of teaching excellence in all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students in the MARS Academy programme through monitoring of teacher performance, student attainment and student evaluation and feedback to ensure the subsequent and continuous improvement of the courses
  • Responding to any feedback received from students and tutors
  • General ad hoc duties to support the MARS volume team

To be considered for the role you will have the following skills, knowledge, and experiences:

  • Experience working within an academic or education setting is preferred but not essential if you have other relevant experience
  • Experience leading/ coordinating training courses or teaching on training courses would be highly advantageous
  • Experience working in film or live events, with a particular interest in Virtual Production
  • Effective planning and resource management skills
  • Experience managing a team
  • Excellent organisational skills
