Job Title: Compliance and Policy Officer- 3-month temporary position

Sector: Not for Profit

Salary: £25,000-£32,000

Location: Milton Keynes

My client, a well know charity who`s vision is the help children world wide live a more safe and fulfilling life are currently recruiting for a Temporary Compliance and Policy Officer to join their busy team in their Milton Keynes office.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Elicit the content for the Fundraising Policy framework, through stakeholder interviews and meetings
  • Develop the policies to completion including review and sign-off through the appropriate internal governance structures, including peer review in Fundraising, compliance and legal (and any other vested stakeholders); review and sign-off by ESLT and SLT; and forwarding for review or sign-off as appropriate by the Trustees
  • As the policies are approved the underpinning standards are to be defined, working with subject matter experts (fundraising colleagues, compliance and legal) and agreed by the appropriate governance bodies (ESLT, SLT members pertinent to the standards written)
  • In order to operationalise the policies and standards you will then work with the appropriate teams to develop processes, procedures, comms and training which will be documented and implemented to ensure the organisation is compliant with Regulatory requirements especially around:

-Fundraising with people in Vulnerable Circumstances

-Donations Due Diligence

-Complaints (and Complaints management and reporting)

-Fundraising contribution and representation into the GDPR policy framework workstream (Data Retention, Consent, Data Deletion)
