TPP is exclusively working with the Catholic Truth Society (CTS), established in 1868, as it prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary next year. With its mission to communicate the truths of the Catholic faith, CTS is one of the oldest and most inspiring Catholic charities. The CTS publishes high quality, affordable books and resources that help Catholics gain a deeper understanding of their faith and share it with others. We support prisons and university chaplaincies with free materials such as bibles and booklets about church teaching, prayer and the sacraments.

The Role

This is a brand new role and income stream for CTS and thus offers the unique opportunity to make the job your own. You will build strong relationships with external stakeholders such as priests, parishioners, and teachers. You will make appeals to parishes across the country to make one-off asks and more importantly bring in regular donors. From this, you will develop and train a network of volunteers to sustain and build on the appeals. You will develop presentations, toolkits and resources to achieve this as well as organising and running training events for volunteers. Beyond this, you will nurture relationships within the Catholic education sector and other networks, movements and events, to grow CTS income and engagement within the Catholic world.

The Right Person

You will have good knowledge of the Roman Catholic faith and a strong commitment to promote the practice and values of Catholicism among Catholics and non-Catholics. You will have previous fundraising experience whether that be from communities, individuals or parishes. You will be competent at recruiting and managing volunteers and possess first class organisational skills. You will be creative and innovative in capturing donor and supporter engagement. Finally, some out of hours working may be required.

You will receive a generous salary of £35,000, competitive pension scheme, option of a travel loan and a warm and supportive environment.
