Community Fundraising Volunteer
Location: Farm Africa London office, 140 London Wall, EC2Y 5DN
Duration: 2-3 days a week for a minimum of three months.
How to apply: Please send a CV and covering letter, FAO Denis to firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadline: 10am on Monday 8 August 2016
We are looking for a bright and motivated volunteer who is an excellent communicator and enjoys talking on the phone, and is looking for valuable experience in the charity sector.
Farm Africa works with a variety of community groups, schools, universities and churches, which work to raise vital funds, provide a regional presence and raise awareness of global issues and how we work to address those issues. The community fundraising supporter base forms a solid and steadily growing income stream to Farm Africa which is why we now need additional support from a volunteer.
The role will involve speaking to a wide range of supporters by telephone and email and researching groups and activities for our volunteer speaker network. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in our student fundraising programme - helping us to inspire university students to fundraise for Farm Africa through their RAGs or Societies. You will also play a vitally important role in supporting the administrative side by sending out fundraising packs and keeping the database up to date.
In return we can offer you an introduction and induction to fundraising and an international NGO as well as training in key areas such as our database. This is in addition to expenses in line with our expenses policy.
