TPP's Fundraising and Development team are working with a large national charity - head-quartered in Central London (although the role is based virtually for now) - to support the search to a Community Fundraising Manager vacancy. This is a senior role within the team, and reports directly into the Head of Community and Events. The role is a maternity cover - a 6-month contract (either a fixed term contract or interim, day rate, assignment can be considered) - which manages a small team of staff, and which will play a pivotal role as part of a newly re-structured Community and Events department.

In this role you will plan, implement and drive forwards the Community strategy, with a focus on audience insight, portfolio management, marketing and stewardship. You will manage the planning and delivery of the portfolio, continuously develop and review annual budgets, and ensure that KPIs are monitored and reported on regularly. In particular, you will lead the team to embed a digital-first strategy, working with both internal teams and external agencies to upskill, establish a test and learn approach for continuous improvement, and thinking digital first in the briefing of all new activity. You will work to ensure excellent stewardship for all participants who engage with Community fundraising, and work with stakeholders to ensure journeys are insight led, responding to audience need, documented and reported upon.

To be successful in this role you will be a strategic thinker who is highly organised in leading a team to manage a portfolio of inspiring supporter led events and experiences - driving the programme forwards, maximising value, continuously improving ways of working, and innovating in response to need. You will base decisions on insight and engage a diverse range of potential supporters and connect them to opportunities to support the charity's work. You will ensure you provide an excellent and supportive experience - inspiring participants to maximise the value of their gift and continue to support the charity.

You will be an adaptable and flexible member of the Community and Events Fundraising team, contributing to the development of a culture of co-operation, flexibility and adaptability amongst the team through leadership by example. You will be able to move resource to help deliver changes in capacity and strategy across the programme. You will form strong working relationships with internal stakeholders. ensuring Community and Events is professionally represented and gets the buy-in and commitment needed to deliver its objectives. You will have strong experience of working with external suppliers and partner agencies, negotiating costs, managing contracts and driving performance to achieve targets.
