This emergency rescue charity is one of the UK?s most loved brands and they are currently recruiting a passionate and driven Community Fundraising Manager to play a key role in developing and testing new community fundraising activity. You will spend significant time in the field building new markets and supporting new volunteers. This role will be home based and will cover the M4 corridor so candidates should ideally be based within a reasonable travel distance from Bristol or Reading.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining sustainable relationships with supporters in local communities and motivating them to maintain and increase their support
  • Implementing fundraising plans for volunteers to deliver the strategy, key products and messages developed by the marketing team
  • Managing all supporter relationships to agreed budgets, deadlines and stewardship levels
  • Recruiting, inducting, training/coaching, retaining and rewarding volunteers in line with the volunteer strategy
  • Maintaining accurate records, analysing data to monitor and improve performance and mitigate risk


You will have demonstrable experience of managing and developing fundraising groups and volunteers as well as experience of professional fundraising or equivalent experience (e.g. marketing, sales, business development). The ideal candidate will enjoy motivating and persuading people from all backgrounds and levels and will be a confident communicator and presenter. Experience of working to KPI?s and analysing financial data is also key. A current driving licence is required.
