Community alcohol detoxification nurse – poly-drug lead

Our client is a well respected alcohol support charity which has been central to the health and well-being of communities across North London for the past thirty years. They are determined to continue to make communities healthier, safer and more vibrant.   They want to ensure that each individual has access to the services that suit them best. They are continuously forming dynamic new alliances and partnerships with groups across the UK and developing exciting products to engage with a wider audience to enable everyone to access our services.  This is an exciting time to join them and they have been working on ambitious projects in the last few years and have plans to continue to enhance the services we currently offer.

About you: As the Community Alcohol Detoxification Nurse, you will coordinate and supervise detoxes for service users in Haringey via their GP or with a non-medical prescriber. You will be able to work well in partnership with other local treatment services and service users will have multiple or complex needs.  We are looking for an experienced nurse who will be committed to delivering contractual targets relating to detoxifications, and numbers moving through our wider alcohol treatment pathway. You will be able to confidently promote our detox treatment pathway to those working in primary care as well as understand identification and brief advice as a means for promoting referral to our wider services.

This is a full time 37.5 hours per week roll predominately office hours however occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
