TPP have an exciting opportunity for a Communities and Events officer to join a membership organisation for professional fundraisers in the UK. They support and provide services for 6000 individual members and nearly 600 organisational members.
The Communities and Events team is responsible for organising a number of centrally run events and conferences, including a flagship event, Fundraising Convention and the National Fundraising Awards. The team also manages there National, Regional and Special Interest Groups which are run by volunteers and offer events, networking opportunities, support and training to members and the wider fundraising community.
The successful candidate will be joining the organisation during an exciting period of change, as the organisation upgrades and replaces all of the systems. This includes CRM, which is being changed from Integra to a Microsoft Dynamix-based system. This role will need to manage the project on behalf of the Communities and Events team, working with the CRM project team to make sure the new system is optimised for the team's needs and providing a seamless service for our customers and stakeholders. Experience of working with a CRM database is therefore essential.

The post-holder will have day-to-day operational responsibility for customer liaison and booking for all centrally-run events. The role will also provide administrative and logistics support for a wide range of events and courses as well as assist with financial admin and data management for network of 35 National, Regional and Special Interest Groups.
Some of the key duties will include:
Be the first/main customer liaison for events products, over the phone and via email
Optimise and manage the online and telephone events bookings process
Manage and update event websites
Accurately prepare and analyse customer evaluation and event data
Assist with the administration of Group activities
Provide logistical and effective administrative support to the Communities and Events Team
Be the key point of liaison with event attendees and providing excellent and timely customer service, both over the phone and via email.
Registering delegates at events and assisting with the on-site running of conferences, Fundraising Convention and a range of other events
Producing joining instructions, delegate packs, etc. in collaboration with the Events Manager, and Conference producer for all conferences
Processing income and liaising with the finance team regarding invoicing issues etc.
Dealing with enquiries and otherwise acting in a manner that supports the income targets of the Communities and Events team.
To work with the CRM project team to ensure that data is effectively migrated across and the new system is
fully optimised for the Community and Events team's needs
Day to day involvement in the implementation of the Institute's new website and event booking portals
To be responsible for the management and updating of the website content for conferences, Fundraising Convention and National Fundraising Awards, making sure that all amends are carried out in a timely manner
