Your everyday will involve:
- Hands-on property management: Working closely with the SJA property team on a variety of tasks.
- Property disposal: Reviewing titles, preparing reports, and handling title queries.
- Lease management: Drafting new leases, negotiating terms, and handling lease surrenders.
- General asset management: Managing licences, deeds, and day-to-day queries.
- Conduct due diligence: Obtain s119 reports and collaborate with surveyors to maximise property value.
- Manage legal documentation: Coordinate with external counsel to draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, licenses, and other legal documents
Your skills and experience, qualifications and attributes will include:
- Commercial property law: A qualified Barrister or Solicitor with at least 3 years of experience in commercial property.
- Strong negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate complex deals and contracts.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing and preparing documents.
- Problem-solving: Ability to find solutions to complex legal or regulatory challenges.
- Drafting and reviewing property documentation
- Solid experience in commercial property law.
- Providing legal advice on property portfolios to internal stakeholders
- Experience with the Land Registry portal and SDLT online
- Experience supporting the conveyancing process.
- Resourcefulness in developing solutions to complex legal or regulatory challenges
- Proficiency in MS 365, including Teams and SharePoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and work with stakeholders at all levels
