A state of the art Urban Innovation charity based in central London is seeking a Commercial Manager for a fantastic new role. The successful candidate will join the organisation at an exciting time of growth, and will be joining a busy and highly varied organisation.

The role will involve:

-Development and implementation of business services agreements with clients, collaborators and partners and the conducting of procurements under the Public Contract Regulations and wider public competition regulatory considerations

-Ensure that Customer requirements are clearly defined and accurately translated into meaningful information such that the Operations function can meet the Customer’s requirements

-Establish procurement strategies for acquisition, receiving and tracking of project resources with Management that optimise quality, cost, and timely delivery criteria

-Review all Project T&Cs and make suggestions where required

-Researches new products and services to meet company's goals

-To carry out commercial contract reviews to assure they meet requirements set out in the 1 & 5 year plans. This will involve commercial approval of new bids as part of the project governance

-Strategy, launch and implementation of procurement frameworks for services to support the organisation’s ongoing projects and support for its operations

-To support the Finance Director to output Audit Committee, Board & Innovate UK reports in conjunction with regular EMT outputs

The ideal candidate will:

-Be Qualified Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)

-Have several years experience leading a procurement function

-Experience of working under OJEU guidelines

-A strong background in Excel, and a computerised financial management system

-Project Accounting experience including R&D projects

-Have strong influencing skills and have the resilience to push back to stakeholders

-End-to-end project implementation experience

-Business partnering experience
