TPP's client is a leading National Childrens charity who aim to make a real difference to the lives of the most vulnerable Children, Young People and their families across the UK through the work of their services, campaigning and research expertise.
They are seeking an interim Children's Service Manager to join their fun and supportive 6 bed residential children's home, which provides medium to long term accommodation, as well as short breaks, to children and young people aged 18 or below with learning disabilities. The home provides a 24-hour service all year round, and accepts both planned and emergency referrals.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Children's Services, you will be given the opportunity to lead a team of 11 which is made up of a combination of Project Workers, Night Project Workers, Senior Project Workers, and the Team Manager.
As well as having previous Residential Service Manager experience, our client is looking for an emotionally resilient character who isn't afraid of a challenge. They are particularly looking for someone who can manage service budgets, forecast planning, and can assess referrals.
Our client offers plenty of opportunity to develop within the organisation as well as various training opportunities at your disposal. They will help you achieve your objectives by collaborating with the Assistant Director of Children's Services as well as weekly meetings with the team.
As well as being able to work core hours, you may be required to commit to an on-call service in case of emergencies (which thankfully doesn't happen often!).
