This is an excellent opportunity to join a small London based charity as Chief Executive. This part-time (3 days p/w) interim, maternity cover contract (10-12 months), will lead a small team of staff and volunteers during the organisation's 25th Anniversary year. The organisation campaigns for change and provides bereavement support to individuals and families in specific circumstances.
In this post, you will provide leadership and management to this small, member focused organisation, and be responsible to trustees for organisational performance (leading the implementation of 6 newly defined strategic aims). Specifically, you will use your Communications/PR expertise during the organisation's anniversary year to raise organisational profile, in addition to providing a high level of support to staff in order to ensure services and campaigns are delivered to a high standard. In addition, you will hold responsibility for financial management and fundraising oversight.
In order to be considered for this role, you should have significant experience in a Senior Management role within the charity sector, as well as excellent stakeholder management and strong collaboration, communication and relationship management skills. You will be empathic, compassionate and understand the challenges and opportunities of working within a small charity.
