Chief Executive Officer

Salary: £50-55k depending on experience

Mind in Barnet is a well-established local charity with a proud history of providing support to people with mental health problems as they move towards a better life in society. The charity provides much valued counselling services, advocacy and employment support, as well as informal social clubs. As the commissioning landscape continues to change, Mind in Barnet are looking for a new CEO to help capitalise on these opportunities.

The role will have an exciting mix of strategic leadership, operational management, income generation, and relationship development. Liaison with local commissioners and partners, interaction with the wider Mind network, capacity building and financial management are key elements of the job.

The new CEO will be an entrepreneurial and dynamic leader with a strong track record of delivery. As befits a smaller organisation, you will be both strategic and operational in order to plan for the future as well as support current delivery. Proven experience at a senior level is essential, whilst knowledge of the health and/or social care sector would be beneficial. Above all, you will be highly empathetic with the charity’s beneficiaries and be able to demonstrate a passion for health and wellbeing.
