St. Richard's Hospice are looking for people to make a difference to the lives of others every day.
The Hospice provides a Chaplaincy service to patients, carers and members of staff of different faiths including those of little or no faith. The Chaplaincy team are fully involved in the care of patients on the In-Patient Unit, while attending Day Hospice and Living Well and when being supported at home. We are currently seeking to recruit a volunteer to join the existing Chaplaincy team on alternate Fridays to share in leading a 7-week Spirituality course as part of the Living Well programme.
We are looking for a practicing person of any faith who is enthusiastic about supporting the holistic needs of others and is articulate in discussing and responding to spiritual needs.
This role is enjoyable and rewarding but can also sometimes be challenging.
Good communication skills including listening skills and the ability to be sensitive to the varied needs of others are essential for this role.
