RNIB is seeking a new Chair who is blind or partially sighted to join our Board.

RNIB is changing. We want to create a new world where there are no barriers for people with sight loss. A world where people are valued for the life they lead and not judged by their disabilities. Through our strategy, we will equip people to live the life they want to lead.

We'll connect communities and influence decision makers so that together, we can make the world a fair place. We're working alongside a diverse community of over 60,000 people living with sight loss, directly supporting over 100,000 customers, and ensuring our messages reach millions of people who are at risk of developing a sight condition.

Our work is broad. We provide expert eye health and sight loss information and advice and act as a gateway to services and support provided by ourselves and others. We campaign, help people advocate for their own rights, and enable people with sight loss, their friends and families, to support each other and change lives for the better. Together with our supporters and partners, we're working to create a world where eye health is prioritised, sight loss isn't a barrier and everyone can live the life they want to lead with confidence.

Ambitious for the future, we've embarked on a series of important changes and new ways of working that are bringing us closer to the people who need us, increasing the opportunities for everyone to give and receive support. At this pivotal point in our journey, we're now looking for a new Chair to join our Board of Trustees.

We're looking for a Chair with a proven track record in a leadership role, an ability to think strategically and an effective communicator able to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and act as an ambassador for RNIB. Values driven with the ability to engage and empower a broad range of stakeholders, you will be highly motivated by the opportunity RNIB offers to make a difference to people's lives.

This position is unremunerated but reasonable expenses are payable.
