Pharmacy Research UK (PRUK) is the principal funder of pharmacy research in the UK. Founded from a union of two research charities, PRUK has a broad programme in place to research into the science or practice of the preparation, supply and use of medicines. A member of the AMRC, it funds both research projects and individual bursaries to improve skills across the Pharmacy sector directly benefiting public health.
The new CEO will lead and manage the organisation, increase the funding available for pharmaceutical research directly from PRUK's own resources and indirectly via co-funding opportunities, and oversee the grant management. You will work closely with the Board of Trustees to deliver PRUK's vision and strategy as well as overseeing all aspects of policy, fundraising, partnership, impact and communications.
You will be an ambitious leader and a strong communicator. With senior management experience including relationship development, marketing and external affairs, you will have strong networking, influencing and ambassadorial skills. Ideally, you will have experience of working in: applied research charities; Education bodies with a science base; the NHS (especially its R&D); Government; or Biotech/Pharma companies.
