YCT is a counselling and therapeutic support charity celebrating over 30 years of specialised service-delivery. They support children and young people aged 5 - 25 years, their families and the professionals who work with them. Working from community venues and schools, academies, colleges, alternative education provision and specialist schools, the charity delivers services across Essex, Hertfordshire and Greater London, gradually growing its geographical reach. The recent need to change from face-to-face to telephone and online delivery has enabled greater flexibility which it is hoped will be maintained, and enable further growth, post-Covid.

As the CEO of YCT, you will oversee and lead the further development of the charity, in line with its Strategic Plan. The Board aims to appoint a visionary, committed and motivational person who will join the YCT 'family', share their commitment to the delivery of quality services, work well within the existing team, and who demonstrates the flair to lead YCT through its next phase of development.

A proven manager, ideally with some experience working with schools, health or the Third Sector, you will have an understanding of the CYP field. This could include winning and delivering on contracts, building partnerships and ensuring appropriate service delivery. Desirable experiences would include business development and marketing and communication skills, knowledge of therapeutic services, and experience of social enterprise formats

You will need your own transport, and confirmation of appointment will be conditional upon a successful, enhanced. DBS check.

YCT has continued to operate during the Coronavirus crisis, albeit with lower levels of service-delivery. One member of staff has been furloughed and the remaining staff are working from home. The opportunities and experience that this has offered are likely to lead to changed working practices in future.
