An award winning trade association for bioscience in the UK are recruiting for a Careers and Progression Project Manager for a 1years fixed term period to build a network across over 500 industry professionals and deliver a tangible output/report on the industry they represent in relation to talent, careers and skills progression within the sector.
As someone has a background in either; Biotech/ life sciences/ research industry OR education and skills development OR how to conduct scoping and information gathering around talent and skills, your work will provide the association to provide guidance internally and externally about how talent is being progressed in their sector, what skill development opportunities there are, and would draw on some of the people and migration issues that their other policy work draws into the frame.
You will be someone who has excellent scoping skills, and can bring together all the special advisory committee activities within this area to coordinate their output. You will work with member companies to understand specific talent development and how the next generation of talent can be identified through various association and industry activities.
This is an amazing opportunity where your work and findings will update and expand a national publication on the opportunities and activities that are relevant to skills and career development in the industry and related sectors and hopefully play an impact on initiatives to boost the numbers of apprenticeships, how to incentivise greater uptake of STEM subjects by students and the overall skills needs of the sector.
It would also be a chance to build your own network and be exposed to a large number of different member groups over the year.
Due to the nature of the work, the organisation is open to flexible and part time working for the right person.
