A Membership Society dedicated to the advancement and development of professionals in the STEM industry, are recruiting for an Careers and Education Officer to join a welcoming Education, Skills and Diversity team.

As the Careers and Education Officer, you'll deliver a range of programme and activities aimed at inspiring and helping young people from all backgrounds to get into aerospace and aviation.

The organisation is working remotely at the moment and foresee a blended approach of remote and office based working in future. There will be some travel involved to support a number of events throughout the year.

Some of the key activities you will be involved in include a careers service for members and general public, programmes for primary and secondary schools, recruitment fairs, competitions and other events. In this exciting role, you'll work closely with Society members, employers, education providers and young people to play an active role in the delivery of the programmes.

In your day to day duties, you can expect to:
-provide careers advice to individuals and groups face to face and virtually
-deliver presentations to diverse audiences and liaise with relevant stakeholders and organisations
-organise events and competitions
-launch new events and initiatives
-develop careers tools and materials to support members
-represent the Society at external events and exhibitions
-undertake administrative duties to support the wider team

To be considered for the role, you'll have experience within education and careers, ideally within a non-profit or membership society. You'll need to show your ability to undertake a varied role including administration, relationship building, delivering presentations, organising events etc, always working to a high standard. It would be an advantage if you have experience in the STEM industry but this is not essential so long as you have an interest in it.
