A leading charity dedicated to ending violence and domestic abuse against woman and girls is looking for a Business Support Manager to join the team on a temporary basis for 2 months. Due to the nature of role, a standard DBS check will be required for this role.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations or Business Support Manager to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to deliver a comprehensive, proactive, inclusive and customer focused service for all staff and volunteers together with the Business Support Team.

Leading the Business Support team from the front, you will be managing and coordinating the Facilities, Health and Safety, IT management and administration including property maintenance and reception services for the charity, delivering a strong infrastructure of support to ensure effective discharge of job responsibilities and compliance with internal policies.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be willing to work from their Head Office in Central London with occasional travel to other sites including refuge and accommodation centres. There can be some element of flexibility on working from home for some of the time, but the majority of the working week will need to be in the office.

 

Key Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

 

  • Health and safety management experience

  • General office and facilities management

  • Project management experience

  • Trained on health & safety, fire risks assessments, building services for statutory and regulatory compliance for example certificate in Fire Risk Assessment, IOSH - Managing Safely/NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma

  • Experience of working with multiple external stakeholders and department head

  • Ability to develop and promote strong internal and external relationships

  • Confidence in training people

  • Good commercial and business acumen

  • Working knowledge of GDPR compliance good understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries and organisations policy development

  • Understanding of Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding issues within the charity sector

  • Excellent IT skills, experienced in the application and use of various software packages

 

You will be available immediately to start beginning of November and be able to commit to a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week.
