TPP is proud to be working in exclusive partnership with Youth Concern Trust (YCT) to recruit for a Business and Development Officer. The role is permanent, based in Harlow and paying £27,037.

The charity was established in 1988 to serve the local community around Harlow but has since grown to serve across Essex, Hertfordshire and Greater London. The aim of the charity is to support young people and their families through challenging times and provide hope for their future. To achieve this, they offer a range of services including counselling, group work, drama, and art therapy to school programmes and provide workshops. All YCT services are accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

The main aim of the role is to generate income through grant applications, bids and tender submissions working towards financial targetYou will also develop strong links with the commercial sector in pursuit of sponsorship, donations and pro bono support. You will draft business cases and support the delivery of new work. Finally, you will contribute to raise the profile of YCT through effective communication and marketing opportunities.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to have a good understanding of the bid writing process and ideally some experience. You will have experience of working in or with the commercial sector. You will also have the ability to write compelling business cases and grants. Finally, you will possess sound organisation and communication skills (written and oral).
