A high standard professional practice and specialised service organisation in England and Wales are looking to recruit a Business Planning Manager. Reporting to the Head of Governance and Corporate Services you will provide corporate service expertise and support the efficient and effective design and delivery of the organisation's strategy and business plans. This role will be mostly remote and occasionally attend evening board meetings.

As the Business Planning Manager, you will manage the business reporting of the organisation and assurance frameworks. You will collaborate with the senior colleagues across the company and Resources Group to deliver corporate programmes of work and maintain corporate policies and procedures. You will support, develop, motivate, and agree clear objectives for team members. You will manage the preparation and review of the Board's three-yearly strategic plan and manage the preparation and review of annual business plans and budgets in liaison with colleagues in Finance and by drafting papers and recommendations for stakeholders and the Board. You will review management accounts and assist the Finance team and budget holders with regular reforecasting exercises, acting as a 'critical friend' challenging business assumption in forecasting planning.

You will also manage the organisation's corporate risk and Board assurance processes, including review and update of the Corporate Risk Register, and coordination of the internal audit plan. You will perform other tasks as assigned from time to time.

You will have the following skills and experience:
* Experience in Strategic and operational planning
* Experience in working for a regulator
* Experience for Fees and Charges/ cost recovery regimes in public sector or similar
* Drafting and presenting reports to Boards and Committees, including responding to constructive challenge
* Contract and performance management
* Risk Management and assurance processes
* People management
