Business Development Manager - South West Region
£38,000 - £40,000 per annum + £4790 Car Allowance
8 month fixed term contract (to cover mat leave)
Home-based - To cover from Cornwall & Devon, to West Sussex, up to Warwickshire

TPP's client is a well-respected national charity and a leading provider of services for young people and adults with learning disabilities, physically disabilities and mental health needs. Our client believes in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate on the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to cover maternity for 8 months minimum.

About the role:
The overall purpose of the role is to lead the development and implementation of the Divisional Development Strategy. Working together with Area and Service Managers, the Regional Divisional Director, new staff teams, families and external partners, you will develop new support services and opportunities for the organisation in the South West region and support the Division to achieve its growth targets.

  • Reporting to the Divisional Director
  • To lead on tender writing and resource planning across the division to ensure capacity for tenders and bids
  • Supporting role in the set up of new services
  • Proactively developing opportunities within the organisation to support staff with their own budgets
  • To promote the organisation externally and to build new relationships and partnerships

About you:
The successful candidate will come from a Social Care background and have excellent knowledge of the Social Care sector, with an excellent track record of developing businesses. The role can be home-based but will involve travel across the South West Region, which is from Cornwall & Devon, across to West Sussex, and up to Warwickshire, the focus in the first instance will be their services in the Cornwall & Devon area. The post holder therefore must have a willingness to travel and be prepared to work regularly across the South West region. Very occasional overnight stays may be required. A full, clean driving licence is essential.
