About the role

A professional development body for the Further Education and Training sector is looking for a Business Delivery Officer. This is a brand-new role arising from expansion and growth. This role is a permanent full-time contract, offering a generous 30 days of annual leave and other great benefits. A hybrid working model is offered with 2-3 days in your choice in the office and the rest of the week working remotely.

As the Business Delivery Officer, you will support various key functions of the organisation to ensure successful progress and delivery of their goals. You will manage the oversight and tracking of the organisation's progress against the achievement of its strategic objectives, priorities, and deliverables, working closely with the Deputy CEO. You will also oversee the tracking of progress and spend against investment projects supporting the strategic priorities, working closely with the Finance team, as well as working with Governance colleagues to effectively coordinate the organisation's annual governance and business planning cycles.

In addition, you will work with the Head of Compliance and Governance Officer to implement new internal delivery governance frameworks, including executive project assessment and the set-up of any internal governance arrangements of new projects or pieces of work.

You will have the following skills and experience:

* Experience and knowledge of working on and managing complex projects
* Experience of managing and tracking spend against budgets on large complex funded contract projects
* Excellent planning skills, with demonstrable experience of coordinating business planning cycles
* Confident in building relationships and collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the business, including senior members of staff
* The ability to prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
