Part-time (15 hours a week); Contract (2 years)

£25,000 – Pro Rata

TPP’s client, a long-standing charitable provider of domiciliary care is looking for a Service Project Leader for their London based Befriending service.

Our client has been established for over 125 years and has a long history of providing care and support; with a particular focus on its elderly client group. Whether through nursing or campaigns, this reputable not-profit organisation has always strived to be at the forefront of conscientious care-giving.

The job of Befriending Service Project leader is a crucial one in the provision of this care. The role will involve developing, managing and monitoring a telephone based Befriending service from inception through delivery. Your job will include a multitude of different responsibilities that will encompass everything from establishing and maintaining record systems to recruiting and motivating volunteers.

As a good working knowledge of befriending services will be necessary to produce such a network the successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. Additionally, with an exclusively elderly client group to support previous experience with adult safeguarding is a must. Writing reports will be a part of the job as will keeping clear and accurate data on the efficacy of the service. For this reason, the successful candidate should have the ability to maintain comprehensive notes on both service provision and end user feedback.
