Our client, a landmark conservation & science charity in west London has an exciting opportunity for a senior Prospect Researcher professional. You would be joining them as their next Associate Director (Research). The main focus of this role will be to develop their existing prospect research team and produce a research plan for their upcoming campaign.

Key responsibilities for the Associate Director (Research) role:

  • Direct plans for the Research team to deliver an efficient and effective service
  • Deliver industry leading, innovative and effective prospect research
  • Produce a forward-looking research plan, ensuring prospect development efforts drive fundraising goals
  • Contribute to future fundraising campaign strategies, planning and target setting
  • Coordinate the team in managing multiple research projects simultaneously
  • Enable success of priority projects while meeting the needs of donors
  • Manage the everyday performance of direct reports


Essential criteria for the Associate Director (Research) role:

  • Demonstrable successful track record in prospect research at a strategic level
  • Experience of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of fundraising strategies including prospect solicitation plans
  • Knowledge of stewardship best practice and implementation
  • In-depth experience of fundraising and prospect research databases
  • Solid line management experience with the ability to understand what makes a high-performing team
