A global leader in distance and flexible study that collaborates with Universities across London to offer flexible and distance learning programmes are looking for an Assitant Librarian to join their Online Library Services team. This role is offered on a part time basis, at 21 hours (3 days per week.), ideally the days of work will be Monday-Wednesday.
You will provide support to a wide range of academic users, including staff and distance learning students. In this role, you will contribute to the provision and development of specialist enquiry services via the telephone, face-to-face and online methods. You will help out to collate, analyse and respond to library enquiries feedback and service statistics, as well as reporting the findings to senior management. You will get the chance to be assist with project work as requested and will contribute to the work of the Online Library team for the checking and maintenance of programme reading lists.
In order to make a success of this role, you will have an honours degree in an Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences subject and a professional qualification in Library and Information Science. It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of working within information services or a library environment.
