A leading professional institute are recruiting for an Assessment Lead within their Learning Academy on a 12 month fixed term contract with a view to potentially become permanent to deliver their assessment methodology in line with regulations.

As the Assessment Lead you will work closely with the Learning Manager and Chief Examiner to ensure assessments are set to a high standard and delivered through high quality operational processes. As the institute hasn't offered formative assessments since 2016, the priority in the first few months will be to develop policies, processes and other infrastructure from the ground up to meet the requirements of the new syllabus and associated assessment methodology.

You will also report to senior management and the Council on the quality measures for assessments and overseeing clerical checks, reviews and appeals. The Assessment Lead will support the Chief Examiner in commissioning formative and summative assessments as well as overseeing all elements of these assessments - including uploading the assessments to the appropriate platform, ensuring these are marked, feedback is given to candidates, capturing marks and overseeing appeals.

This will be the perfect role for someone with extensive experience in overseeing and developing assessment processes within another education organisation. You will have also arranged continuous and end-of-programme assessments, preferably within a distance, digital or online learning environment. You will also be capable of working independently to strict deadlines and be a good communicator.
