TPP?s client, a leading national charity who supports people who have sensory impairment and complex needs is seeking an experienced Area Manger to be responsible for their North London and Kent services.
Our client believes in a world where deafblind children and adults can be full and active members of their community. They offer varied services across the country to people with sensory impairment including accommodation services, short breaks and community resource centres. They take a therapeutic approach to delivering support to deafblind people and work closely with families and professionals to ensure all their service users are receiving an excellent quality of care and support.
Our client provides services nationwide and are now seeking to add an additional member to their experienced and dynamic senior management team. The Area Manager job will be responsible for registered services across North/ East London and Kent; direct reports will include service managers and registered managers. This job will involve a direct approach to operational management along with the ability to link in with other peers and stake holders to continuously develop the services, the staff and the reputation of the charity as a whole.
The services are registered homes and supported living services with experienced registered managers and a strong staff group. The charity run monthly development days for the staff in order to ensure they receive the necessary training to be able to offer a safe and high quality service, also to enable them to develop internally as and when the opportunities arise.
To be considered for this job the successful candidate will have experience of leading, motivating and managing a large multisite team within the health and care sector. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with registered managers and service managers to develop services and promote the organisation across the local communities. This person will also have strong internal values around quality of the service provided and will have the ability to support managers and team to develop creative person-centred services. An understanding of the financial pressures faced by both providers and commissioners is also essential for this role.
It is essential that the successful candidate hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car.
