A specialist professional body are recruiting for an Apprenticeship Lead Examiner (predominantly home based) initially for 20 days per year but this is likely to be increased in the short term with this role becoming the expert on all matters relating to their level4 apprenticeship, including attending Education Steering Group meetings 4times a year.

Qualified in Tax and Accountancy with experience of synoptic type assessments you will have responsibility for signing off the final versions of the associated material for the qualification and delivering them to the Education Team for formatting and distribution.

You will have an enquiring mind and strong communication skills to ensure that all materials are clear, unambiguous and fair, suggesting changes to improve style and clarity of material when required.

As someone with strong team skills you will review the work of examiners and support and encourage them through the process. You will also be able to lead by example in terms of having exceptional time management skills, this may mean that this role may not be suitable for someone maintaining full time employment unless your employer is able to agree to a reduction in your working days in order to accommodate for the prompt responses and tight timetables that may occur within this role.

If you are able to demonstrate strong technical skills in appropriate areas of tax and are comfortable with questions on the current syllabus of the ATT paper 1 and 2 and wish to pursue a career in education using these skills and knowledge then this could be the role for you.

For more information please send a copy of your CV to the Education Team quoting reference number J62207KP.
