£24,260-£27,232 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting

12-months Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

37.5 hours per week total, including evening and weekend work

The Organisation:

TPP’s client is a charity funded by a local council who offer a range of community and residential services for problem drinkers and their families. Services include confidential advice, information and ongoing support to help reduce the negative effects of alcohol misuse on individuals and the community. Supporting over 15,000 people, they are one of very few organisations to focus exclusively on alcohol through their work in service delivery, consultancy and campaigning.

The Role:

With specialist knowledge and experience of working with alcohol misuse and Polish Speaking clients, you will provide interventions to people within the community and the primary care setting. This involves providing clinic cover with the Alcohol Treatment Team Leader to at least 4 regular GP clinics within the borough, conducting comprehensive assessments, care planning, 1:1 psychosocial support sessions, delivering CBT/MI group sessions and delivering 1:1 interventions within structured alcohol support programmes that runs over a 12-week cycle.

About You:

A natural and bilingual communicator, you will have specialist knowledge and experience of working with alcohol misuse and Polish-speaking clients. You will have strong psychosocial group work experience working within clinical drug and alcohol services. You will be a compassionate supporter of those in recovery by using creative ways to engage and retain service users in treatment services and move them on to the borough’s recovery service for involvement in the local recovery community.
