Advocacy Manager

Are you immediately available and have a have a passion for young people and justice? Working fully remote, this is a temporary role to start ASAP!

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic 'can do' individual who is passionate about helping to ensure justice for young people and children's right to mainstream education.

The holder of this newly created post will be a key full-time member (could offer 4 days per week) of the team and will be responsible for managing the Volunteer Education Advocacy team to provide advocacy services to clients across London and beyond. The post-holder will have overall responsibility for the delivery of the advocacy service as well as:

  • Line management responsibility of the Volunteer Education Advocate (EA) team
  • End to end management of cases, including allocating to EA team and undertaking cases as required Ensure EAs are fully trained and supported to confidently deliver an effective and high-quality advocacy service that empowers parents
  • Work with the wider team to develop and promote the service

Personal Specification

  • Have a background in working within the legal or education profession
  • Relevant project management experience
  • Relevant line/team management experience
  • Demonstrable experience/knowledge of education law and awareness of the most recent updates in legal practice and government guidelines in education
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment and across teams
  • Experience in working towards targets and delivering objectives within timescales
  • Proven ability to manage and process information, think clearly and logically, and be able to
  • Excellent IT skills - be able to demonstrate experience in the use of Outlook, standard office software with skills in using Word, Excel,
  • PowerPoint, CRM, and other productivity platforms to an acceptable level of proficiency; and be willing to undergo training as required
