A public research university is currently recruiting for a temporary Administrator (Graduation) for three months. You will be responsible for supporting the Graduation Manager with administrative support and central co-ordination for graduation ceremonies.

This role will be supporting all aspects of related administration to contribute to the effective and efficient administration for the delivery of centralised graduation ceremonies. This includes preparation of materials, booking graduation venues and responding to correspondence from staff, students and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing responsively, promptly and sensitively to internal and external stakeholders who require information related to graduation events, university awards and related matters.
  • Planning and organising resources to achieve agreed objectives as determined by the Graduation Manager.
  • Logging applications for graduation ceremonies.
  • Updating the University's Student Record System for the lead up to graduation periods.
  • Actioning requests for copy certificates and award transcripts, ensuring that payments are logged, receipted and processed as appropriate.

You will have:

  • Previous administrative experience within Higher Education and/or understand the student journey.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced customer-focused service driven environment - over the phone and/or face to face
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience of using databases and / or student record systems.

This role is hybrid, and you will be required to be on campus in South East England (commutable from London) for a minimum of three days a week. CVs will be shortlisted in the first week of January and interviews will be held on the week commencing of the 17th of January 2022.
