London Quakers Property Trust (LQPT) looks after the buildings, finances, and related matters for Quaker Meetings in London. The 34 Meeting Houses in seven Area Meetings are all operated locally by volunteers and staff. Our turnover is around £900,000 a year.
The charity has a board of trustees. The Manager has overall responsibility for delivering the work of LQPT, supported by this newly created post.
The Pollard & Dickson Trust (PDT) is also administered by LQPT staff.
We are looking for somebody to administer the finance & governance of LQPT.
They would be the first contact point, provide up to date information on project work and finances to staff and trustees and be ready to support and train local treasurers and administrators.
The post would also entail online book-keeping, annual accounts and overseeing the audits of both trusts.
Applicants should have experience in office and financial management, good communication skills, be in sympathy with Quaker values and willing to work in accordance with these.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in small charity finances, and have a solid grounding in general office administration.
