As part of our commitment to giving back to the organisations we work with, TPP Recruitment will be hosting our first in a series of FREE virtual webinars on diversity and inclusion hosted by industry experts on a wide variety of current topics to provide you with new ideas around best practice. Our first webinar is on Intersectionality in the Workplace. The webinar will introduce the increasingly important concept of Intersectionality. We welcome our guest speaker for this event, Professor Patricia MacCormack.

Intersectionality is a way of understanding multiple inclusivity and diversity issues at once.

People do not belong to any one category. Race, Gender, Sexuality, Disability and other characteristics make up people as complex individuals.

This seminar introduces the concept of Intersectionality with a focus on current events such as BlackLivesMatter, disability awareness in the age of Covid-19, gender, LGBTQIA and other considerations.

We will discuss best practice in interactional HR management to be fully inclusive through an intersectional approach.

Speaker, Patricia MacCormack, Professor of Continental Philosophy at ARU, Cambridge. 

Patricia has been lecturing and publishing in the areas of gender, sexuality, race and diversity for 25 years and is the author of 7 books, numerous articles and the recipient of a number of international grants and awards. She has consulted for government, charitable and academic sector companies.

Those wanting to learn what intersectionality is and how it can help best practice. People interested in current strategies which try to include all diverse protected characteristics and social inclusivity movements.
