Speaker: Richmal Maybank, Employer Engagement and Programmes Manager, National Autistic Society (NAS)
Richmal Maybank is an Employer Engagement Manager working for the National Autistic Society, leading our work on the ‘Autism at Work’ programme delivered alongside the Bloomfield Trust. She has worked in the industry for over a decade, with experience ranging from education, family support and employment to programme design, delivery and management.
As an Employer Engagement Manager, Richmal will be championing the autistic workforce, supporting employers to identify opportunities and ensure they are confident supporting autistic people effectively in the workplace.
As an experienced trainer and speaker, Richmal has been interviewed by the BBC, ITV News, London radio, Reuters, the
Financial Times and People Management Magazine to raise awareness of autism in employment and to champion autistic talent in the workforce.
She has written and developed CPD accredited autism and recruitment training and has several years’ worth of experience in supporting and coaching autistic adults into and in employment across the UK, as well as providing consultancy and training to FTSE 100 companies. She is also Chair of the board for ‘Accessibility at The O2’ championing neurodiversity.
Working on the Autism at Work programme, Richmal hopes to inform and inspire employers to recruit autistic talent by sharing her personal knowledge of supporting autistic colleagues in the workplace to promote inclusion and diversity.
