Adapting the finance function in uncertain times

This session will be a personal reflection of how BBC Media Action has changed its finance function over the last two years. It will be about sharing the journey so far, with its highs and low: issues faced, changes undertaken, and lessons learnt. Change areas will include structure, core processes, reporting, and value-add activities.

Who should attend?

This event is aimed at Finance and IT leaders, especially those who have led, or are leading, change initiatives.

Speaker: Nicolas Raynaud - Chief Operating Officer, BBC Media Action

After a start in banking in Paris and London, Nicolas moved to the charity sector where he has held a number of finance roles in local, national and international organisations.

Recent roles include Assistant Director, Planning and Investment at Circle Housing (2012-15), Finance Director at WaterAid (2015-19), and Chief Operating Officer at BBC Media Action (since 2019).

With an interest in how support functions complement each other to better serve business needs, Nicolas is passionate about unleashing team potential through targeted change.
