Our Recruitment Process
To give you an insight into the level of service you will receive we thought it would be helpful to detail the typical workflow our consultants will do on your behalf to ensure you get the right candidate for the role at your organisation.
We take the brief:
On instruction, a brief is taken from the client, including full details of the role, person specification, key skills required and additional info on salary, location, benefits and recruitment deadlines i.e. closing date, interview dates and formats.
We discuss with you how we'll find the best people and how we will start the search:
Roles will be advertised on our TPP website and/or appropriate external sector and skill specific websites. Database searches are also carried out for suitable candidates. If it has been agreed to advertise the role in the press, copy will be written and the advert will be placed with the agreed closing dates.
Candidate’s are then identified from the database search, those who possess the relevant skills and match the selection criteria are supplied with a complete job description, person specification and a realistic and accurate briefing on the company and role. Also included is information provided in the initial client brief and the appropriate remuneration level of position. All candidates are pre-registered by a TPP Consultant, this is a key part of our recruitment process, as we have a database of over 100,000 candidates some of whom may be thinking of leaving but are not proactively searching on job boards.
Advert responses are screened and responded to within 24 hours. Candidates with relevant experience are initially assessed and screened over the telephone and if found to match the set criteria are interviewed face to face by a consultant, and if requested skills are tested.
Any issues or barriers that may arise during the recruitment process relating to the position, are addressed within 3 days of receiving the Job Description.
Selecting the right candidate for you:
Candidates that meet the criteria of the position are short listed, their CV and profile are then submitted.
Following client feedback on shortlisting and confirmation of interview dates and times, shortlisted candidates are contacted to confirm their interview arrangements ideally within 24 hours, and fully briefed including details of any tests / presentations to be completed as part of the interview. Any candidates special needs are highlighted to the client to ensure adequate facilities are available for the interview.
You interview and consider the candidates:
The client will need to provide full interview feedback on all short listed candidates and give details of second interviews if relevant or 'offer' details for the selected candidate. This will include the full job title, salary details, additional benefits, and anticipated start date.
If relevant, second interviews are arranged and confirmed with the client and unsuccessful candidates are contacted and given full feedback.
We make an offer and you have a new team member:
If an offer is made, details are presented to the successful candidate, if necessary the consultant will manage any negotiation between the candidate and client to agree terms and conditions.
We will confirm acceptance and start date with the client and will provide candidate contact details to send out the offer letter / contract and details of two employment referees.
Once we've placed a candidate with you:
We check in with the candidate on first day.
The invoice will be issued to the client within 5 working days of the candidate commencing employment.
Check candidate progress as agreed with the client through to their probation period.
We keep in touch:
We will make contact with you and the candidates a few weeks after the placement to see how it is going and to make sure we've done our job.
